A courtroom exchange shared in the NYT live blog:
Todd Blanche, a defense lawyer, asked for the names of the first three witnesses before proceedings ended for the day. But a prosecutor, Joshua Steinglass, refused to provide them, saying its a courtesy they normally extend, but "Mr. Trump has been tweeting about the witnesses.
Blanche asks what would happen if he could guarantee that his client wouldnt do so. I dont think you can make that representation, Justice Merchan says, sharply.

Your gd client is totally out of control and going to get someone killed.
You cannot control him, you are a liar and a legal POS and disgrace.

(2,572 posts)Tombs had a handy little basin on the outside with a tube connected to the sarcophagus into which family members could pour a libation of wine for the occupant. This happy custom was discontinued for some reason or other.

(11,107 posts)Trump has put his lawyers at a disadvantage. They can't know for which witnesses to prepare and, therefore, must be prepared for all of them.

(4,862 posts)the more I believe this is Judge Merchans way of holding TFG in contempt effectively without doing so judicially. Pretty clever.

Otherwise there will be a rather long line of people wanting to pay their respects.
