Today's Tiedrich rant: what the fuck does Fox News think it's doing

Link: https://www.jefftiedrich.com/p/what-the-fuck-does-fox-news-think

let’s take a closer look at the situation that led a juror to be excused from Trump’s trial.

because Donny Fuckstick and his merry band of violent cultists are a collective menace to society, precautions have to be taken to ensure the anonymity of the jurors in his trial. at the start of each day of jury selection, the defense is given a sheet of paper with the prospective jurors’ names. they’re not allowed to photograph the list. they can’t copy it. they have to hand it back at the end of the day.

apparently, these measures were not enough to assure the safety of everyone involved, because smirking Fox News fratboy Jesse Watters — who apparently thinks endangering the life of an innocent person is an amusing joke — challenged his viewers to connect the dots and figure out who the jurors were.

“juror number two. a nurse from the upper east side, with a masters degree. she’s not married, has no kids, lives with her fiancee who works in finance. she gets her news from The New York Times, Google, and CNN. she said two things that really stuck out. one quote: ‘I really don’t have an opinion of Trump,’ and quote ‘no one is above the law.’ I’m not so sure about juror number two.”

within seconds, juror number two’s phone started blowing up, with friends and family members calling and texting. is this you, are you the juror they’re talking about on Fox News?

This is a righteous rant by Jeff Tiedrich, calling out Faux Noise and Jesse Watters. We know what they're doing, they're encouraging the MAGAs to do whatever they can to intimidate the jury. It's a naked dog whistle, and it worked at least once, maybe more.

There's much more on today's rant. Please click on the OP link and read the rest on Tiedrich's blog "Everyone is entitled to my own opinion."

The idea of the mob hanging Pence pleased Trump.

The judge is going to have to keep the jury safe.
That is his job.
Whatever it takes.

I've often wondered if history would have changed if the Jan 6 crowd had caught a Congressman and had their way with him/her.

Would it make people reflect, repent and realign, or would it just fuel their bloodlust?

I remember leading up to January 6th, I thought if maga tries anything they will lose half their support. When I saw them break into the Capitol I thought "There goes two thirds of their support". After the coup attempt, when I saw corporations starting to drop support for maga candidates I thought surely at least half of their support was toast. When supreme court nominee, without a hearing, Garland was named attorney general I thought "The coming shitstorm will blow away two thirds of their support". When Garland was shamed into naming Jack Smith to go after Trump I thought "Lock Trump up and that will lower his support by twenty percent".
And yet, Trump is within spitting distance of the best president that we have had in my lifetime.

I'm not the fastest boson in the supercollider, but I think that if Mike Pence's necktie party had materialized the only voters who wouldn't be voting Trump now would have been the three or four unfortunate magat scapegoats photographed around swinging Pence, because they would have been jailed.

With clear written instructions. This is what will happen from this point forward.

The next time you or any of your followers, including news people, intimidate a juror or their family.
You and you alone!
Will spend 48 hours in jail.
Then, with another outbreak, you will spend 96 hours.
And then 192 hours.
And then 384 hours.
And then 768 hours.

You control what happens after the first 24 hours. You better send a very clear message to your cult: THEIR ACTIONS will get you jail time.
And if that doesn't work.... when we find out who intimidates a juror or their family. They will spend the same number of hours with you in a separate cell.

24 hours = 1 day
48 hours = 2 days
96 hours = 4 days
192 hours = 8 days
384 hours = 16 days
768 hours = 32 days or 1 Month

OK, maybe it's just a dream... BUT IT HAS TO STOP!

The idea comes from military boot camps in the mid-1960s.
The first infraction is one lap around the drill field, followed by two laps, then three laps, etc., with each additional infraction.
With enough infractions, you could be well on your way to being a marathoner.

If they were close enough to talk with each other, they’d be close enough to talk, plan, conspire, compare notes, and share tips and contact information and other dangerous stuff that they WOULD be sharing with their supporters.

Better to keep them separated - by miles and time zones.

because FUX has never considered reality to be particularly important. "No one is above the law" is a radical left wing opinon according th TFG;s idiotic fan club, worship and exemption from consequences must be his due.

These people are crazy and pandering to them is going to get FUX into some legal trouble down the line, I guess they like shelling out nearly a billion bucks at a time. Jury tampering is a big deal, they need to cut that cretin Watters loos tout de suite.

I'm sure the judge will be made aware of this over the weekend, if not sooner. While the jury member might feel intimidated by this shit, I don't know if it's enough to generate much beyond a nasty C&D letter. It's beyond stupid, in any case, proving nothing beyond a typicall overworked nurse who gets information in the most easily available form.

Watters, of course, will try to outdo himself, and that's when the NY AG will likely pounce.

ON EDIT: So, a little research tells me that it's NOT illegal, though in a practical sense, when someone stretches the 1st Amendment so far that it gets someone else hurt or killed, it definitely should be. Freedom of speech is not, never has been, and never should be, absolute. There is ugly precedent for intimidation having lethal consequences for the victims, and I'm pretty sure that witness tampering IS illegal. And no sentient being can deny that Watters and Pox News are blatantly guilty of exactly that.
