(463 posts)It is hard to find a pizza joint that will make it. They have to be big enough to have shrimp on hand, but small enough to have time to make a special pizza like this. Real shrimp please, not those little bugs out of a can.

(61 posts)Favorite would be shrimp and olive, or more likely double shrimp, double olive and is exceptionally tasty but yes it is also difficult to find.

(222 posts)Sausage should be the "spicy" or "hot" ground variety spread all over. You can buy it in links and take the casings off. The Gabigool may be diced (you want kinda thick chunks rather than thin bits so it doesn't burn) or cut in bigger bits and alternated with pepperoni. The Parm Reg can be grated or shaved, but must be of REALLY good quality. Add onions, capers and season your sauce to taste (Penzys pizza seasoning and their "justice" blend work for me). Top with fresh ground black pepper before baking - and mozzarella if you care even less about calories than I do.

(36,319 posts)used to get this at one of the first Pizza Outlet shops years ago. Hard to find spinach at most pizzerias.
Bell peppers OK, but not needed.

(15,052 posts)this is when I'd eat a regular slice.
Through the years I started to have
1 reg and 1 sicilian.
Never occurred to me to ask for topping on the sicilian, other than the counter offerings; powdered garlic, dried oregano & grated Parmesan.
But then I discovered 👀 white pizza later in life!
So it's usually made here in NYC (& elsewhere?) olive oil on the dough, splotches of ricotta (sometimes w a touch of something) sometimes w fresh garlic. I'll add powered garlic, oregano, and parnasrn. .
Soooooo good!
