1. I want a raccoon

2. They're fun when they're young.....

But after about a year, they can get mean real quick.

My family had one when I was a kid. He was an absolute riot, although he had a special skill for exasperating Mom--climbing onto the table, knocking over the sugar bowl, and eating enough sugar to send him into orbit; demanding his corn flakes and milk; trying to open the refrigerator (nearly succeding!) when he KNEW there was hamburger in it.....

Then he killed a chicken. That was all for him. He got a free ticket (with transportation) to a lifetime adventure in a county park.

4. I know a friend and helped him to raise a female raccoon... mom was gone

The animal was nice and fun to be around until she went through her 1st season
and after that she was meaner than hell and tried to attack any or all of us she also
included killing the family’s pet mallards. They are God awful as pets.
