(87,072 posts)To New Yorkers, of course I'm from Boston after all, and I use a knife and fork! How do I increase the font size?
I have damaged front teeth, biting into things is not how I eat most food. An adaptation for certain, I used to eat it from the tip to the crust, though.

(27,872 posts)I usually leave a pile of crust that I call the "bones", because they remind me of chicken bones.

(4,113 posts)Depends on how hot it is, or how loaded it is, or if the crust is stuffed with cheese, or if I want a bite of pepperoni or sausage first.

(463 posts)When I order a pizza I ask them to cut it into squares. When I cook it at home I cut it in squares. About 2" by 2". Then I convey these squares to my mouth with my fingers. It has worked well for decades and still works well for me.

I think anyone who eats pizza in any other way just fundamentally doesn't understand pizza.

(15,053 posts)Originally once I drained the extra oil off; I could chow down a piece pretty quickly once folded up.
The place I now get my white slice, and sicilian the white slice is sturdy enough I don't fold it just eat it up . It's a big slice, so I take my time
Sometimes leave some for later, or next day.
All this pizza talk, I might get one tonight. 😁 👍

(2,041 posts)I use scissors instead of knife and fork to cut it into bite-size pieces. I use scissors with other foods, too. I can cut the food much faster and easier that way than with the traditional knife and fork. With pizza, I start with the tip and work toward the crust. When I get to the crust, I eat it when it isn't tough and dry, but it often is.

(22,099 posts)Although Im a New Yorker, I like a lot of stuff on my pizza which makes it messy to lift. If its plain or one topping, Ill fold it in the proper manner.
One other thing, I like to have some pizza sauce to dip the crusts into.
Pro Tip: When you need to reheat a slice, dont use your microwave. Pan fry it in a bit of olive oil. It crips up the bottom crust.
