(2,868 posts)At first glance when I opened your post, I thought it said "Bezos" in the sign on the left. Bezos is far scarier than these two.

(5,243 posts)I was around 5-6 and the rest were in the 6-9 range. We were hooked on that show.
(My fave was Quinton Collins. The second one, who was a werewolf.)

(2,685 posts)But I watch the reruns now, and I love it!
The movies are good too, even the more recent Tim Burton one. You can tell that Johnny Depp studied the original Barnabas for his mannerisms.

(5,243 posts)I also liked the re-make they did in the 90s, although it fell victim to executive meddling and went away quietly.
Now, understand that I saw 'The Exorcist' when I was 10 or 11. I have always loved horror and I have always felt that connected with my first love of dinosaurs.
Real monsters... gotta love that! (I was acting in haunted house attractions by the time I was 14 and was creating them by the time I was 18. Those were the days...)

(2,685 posts)I was a regular reader of the Monster Movie magazines when I was a kid, and would watch all the old movies on Creature Feature and the local horror movie host show, Sir Graves Ghastly...

(6,981 posts)except maybe to the person playing one - the white faces and the silence (with mimes, but used to be with clowns too) symbolize the dead, and do make one conscious that playing that part is like being from another world. I personally never had rocks thrown at me when i was in character, but I've worked with people who did.
