The movie, as far as I know, was the only movie other than "Blazing Saddles" in which Cleavon Little and Alex Karras co-starred.

Interestingly, the guy who played the initially adversarial oil exec who comes around to their side (Norman Lloyd) died not too long ago - at all of 106.
Would it that real life were that way.

I was lucky to find a good vinyl copy at a Goodwill a few years back.
The pickings have been slim since then - now that they're back in style.
