He's good on slide, but I don't think he was as good as Rod Price. Rod was a master of slide guitar.

Billy Gibbons is pretty darned good, as well.
On Edit: I forgot to include Bonnie Raitt. Though I'm not as nuts about her tone as the others. But, she's sure good at slide.
