Rural Americans Are Losing Their Mail. You Could Be Next. - More Perfect Union

Postmaster DeJoy wants to make the USPS more efficient. So his solution is to take mail from this rural Wyoming town, send it to be sorted in Denver, and then ship it back to Wyoming again. It's not just absurd. It's also disastrous for postal workers and rural residents. And it's going to make all of our mail slower, too.

3. Thank you for posting this, friend. I have reposted this on FB and hope that all of my contacts

in cat rescue see this. We depend on the US Postal Service, especially those of us who are in rural areas, to deliver from amazon and other vendors, because those "other vendors" don't know how to find our mailboxes or get up our rocky driveways. Our mail carriers do. So do the UPS drivers. FedEdx can't do it. We can only count on service from our USPO and UPS.

5. Just curious about something

I thought this guy was going to be gone at some point during Biden's presidency. I know there were issues with the board of governors?? or some such thing. I seem to recall hearing that enough of those members were going to be up for replacement that NoJoy would be long gone by now.

What went wrong? You may guess from my handle on this forum that I have a dog in this fight.

10. The Postal Board of Governors could fire DeJoy.

But Biden's most recent nominees await confirmation. Of those he has appointed, two appear to be politically independent. There are still several Trump appointees in the mix. Two seats are vacant. Biden has nominated Marty Walsh to fill one of them but he is not yet confirmed.

Current Board of Governors' make-up: 4 Rs, 3 Ds, 2 Independents. The board president is a Trump appointee, the VP is an independent appointed by Biden.

Maybe if Marty Walsh is seated and the unhappiness of Senators like Jon Ossoff and Congressmen Al Green on behalf of their constituents, DeJoy's tenure will be shortened. I hope so.

I'm pretty sure if you re-read my post you'll note that I never suggested that Biden could get rid of NoJoy on his own. Pretty sure I specifically mentioned the Board of Governors in my post. So I am interested as to the purpose of your response.

It's taking an aggravatingly long amount of time to get the people appointed and approved.

6. If you are missing mail now. It means you won't find it hard to believe when our rural 2024 ballots get "sidetracked."

The GQP is doing everything it can to suppress the 2024 Presidential Election. DeJoy will call it upgrading and adding efficiency to the USPS, and there are "bound' to be glitches" with such a massive upgrading project.

That IMHO, is why he was put in charge of the USPS in the first place. Suppress the vote and get the added benefit of showing us that the best way to improve the USPS is to privatize it.

When Biden wins in 2024, Trump will claim the election was stolen by every kind of underhanded tricks the Dems could pull.

And Trump will immediately call for an uprising in the streets to make J6 look like a picnic. And there will be blood in the streets.

And if Trump steals the elections with the aid of Putin and his supporters sitting in Congress and the SCOTUS.

He will warn Biden to concede without hesitation, or there will be blood in the streets.
