Understand this phenomenon, but there is an overwhelming amount of depression and dysfunction out there now. In fact you know it is a crisis when the Biden administration has put forth a program to address it. When people are suffering from this type of mental disorder, it is reflected in their outlook on issues such as this and others, like the viability of Ukraine beating back Putin.

I found the connection on this in numerous scholarly articles.

I then started theorizing that DU was unique. My hypothesis, loosely stated, was that democrats turn anger inward, resulting in depression; republicans, on the other hand, turned it outward over issues like immigration and the border.

I’d write more about what I found but it’s 4:30 and I need to get some sleep.
