SarahD's JournalIsn't the saint business getting a little awkward?
Some of the miracles attributed to candidates seem a little sketchy. And we eventually wised up to the fact that Mother Theresa was fundamentally a rather nasty person. I guess they need to keep on producing saints because it's just part of the deal.

Starliner problems make me nervous.
One thing after another. Is it cursed? Glad I'm not on board.

Reusable K cups for your Keurig coffee machine.
I always wondered how many of those little plastic Keurig cartridges ended up.in land fills. I guess the answer is all of them, which is a very large number. The Keurig machine is a big step backward for the environment. But I have noticed little cartridges made of metal screen material. The idea is, you load them with coffee and clean them out for reuse. Makes sense. If I had a K cup machine, I would get them.

Seinfeld is right. He never grew up.
Jerry Seinfeld says he longs for a time when men were men and women had to accept whatever that meant. The world moves on, Jerry. You don't have to. But please don't expect us to share your warm, nostalgic feelings about sexism and gender stereotypes.
Genetically modified foods. How are they bad?
I guess it's natural to be suspicious of anything that has the Frankenstein Factor attached to it, but GMO grains have been vetted pretty well. I guess I could go to the Greenpeace website to see what there problem is.

Probably just coincidence but this is stuck in my head.
Fire! by the Crazy World of Arthur Brown. I think of this song sometimes.
Here come the small modular reactors. Or maybe not.
What strikes me about SMRs is that there are so many competing designs in a field that promises to standardize, to concentrate on two or three designs that will simplify licensing, construction, operation, and decommissioning. Instead, we have dozens of tech firms, each claiming its design is the one, and each demanding federal money for development. If I were a cynical person, I might think this whole thing is a big scam, an effort to embellish old ideas and suck up taxpayer money.

Do bigots understand what they did?
We're aware that Kid Rock and his transphobic buddies harmed Bud Light beer by staging a boycott to protest Bud Light being nice to Dylan Mullaney, an influencer who is transgender. Or maybe they're just upset that someone is being nice to another human being. Anyway, their boycott helped lift Modelo Especial into the number one spot as America's favorite beer? Do they realize Modelo is a Mexican company? Should we tell them?

Goodbye styrofoam clamshell containers.
Washington is getting rid of plastic fast food containers. I'm sure the right wingers will sponsor a ballot measure to bring them back.

Nuclear power is safe and efficient, but not cheap.
There is a big push on to build more nuclear electricity capacity. This article is just one example of the huge public relations blitz. Nukes are a good way to meet our insatiable energy demand and reduce carbon emissions. But it won't be cheap. The whole purpose of the media campaign is to inject huge amounts of taxpayer dollars.
